Introducing: The Vinyl Fund

Sentric Electronic’s Vinyl Fund will give three Sentric Electronic artists a run of 100x vinyl to release their music physically, in partnership with FairSound by Press On Vinyl.

We have launched the Vinyl Fund as we understand the financial challenges artists face in getting their music out there.

From pre-order, to press, to shipping, everything is handled in-house at FairSound. For the campaign, you will also have your own artist page on the FairSound website, a place to tell fans about you as a creator and a place to pre-order your music.

Vinyl Specification:

• 12 inch vinyl
• Coloured-vinyls are available
• Music total of 44 minutes: 18-22 minutes either side of the vinyl

We will pay the upfront costs of having your 100x vinyls created for either an upcoming or existing release, as well as covering the MCPS fees.

Any money made from the sale of the vinyls will go right back into your pocket as the artist, Meaning that any profit can be reinvested into your musical projects. The more vinyls sold, the more income made.

To be eligible for the fund, you must be a Sentric or Sentric Electronic artist. Either create an account or simply log in to your account, head to the Opportunities page and complete the application form.

Applications are now open and close on Monday 31st July 2023 at 23:59 GMT.

FAQs

How long is the fund open for?
The Fund is open between the 12th July and 31st July 2023.

How can I apply?
By logging in to your Sentric Electronic account and heading to the Opportunities page.

How many times can I apply?
You can only apply once. 

What is the funding for?
The fund is to support the financial challenges artists face in getting their music out there in physical copy.

Who can apply for the funding?
Any artist who has signed up through sentricmusic.com or sentricelectonic.com.

Do I have to have songs added to my account?
Yes, you must have a minimum of 5 tracks registered to your account.

When will I hear back?
You will hear back within four weeks of the fund closing.

Does the album or EP have to be finished recording?
The record must be in a final mix or mastered stage. Alternatively, the record can already be released onto digital platforms and you are wanting to run a physical release.  We will request to hear the record as part of the application process.

What happens if I want to have more than 100 vinyls pressed?
Sentric will only pay the cost of 100 vinyl, any additional copies will have to be paid for by the applicant.

Will there be feedback available?
You will only receive feedback if you reach the shortlisting stage.

Can I still apply if I have previously received any funding from Sentric?
Unfortunately, if received funding by Sentric in the past year you will not be eligible for this funding opportunity.

Is the fund only for UK artists?
No, the fund is open worldwide to all Sentric and Sentric Electronic artists.
